Nature Photographer Eric Threlfall

Photographer Eric Michael Threlfall, a native of Southern California, has a lifelong connection to the great outdoors.

He grew up camping in the Eastern Sierras along the rushing Kings River. Where he loved to fish, hike and experience close encounters with wildlife, such as the California Brown Bear.

“My sister bought me a Canon Rebel 35mm camera when I was 16,” Eric says. “That’s what started me on the hobby that became my passion.”

Since then, on every adventure—from the Eastern Ranges, up the Pacific Coast to Alaska and Canada and across the US—he has a camera in hand.

Eric continues to blend his appreciation for the land with the photography and painting skills he’s developed. “I try to record life in an artistic way,” he says. “I want to keep traveling and capture every sunrise and sunset, because each one is different.”

Still based in Southern California, Eric starts planning his next adventure as soon as he’s home from the last one.
